Not sure you’re connected to the VA?

Many veterans leave benefits unclaimed simply because they never checked. It takes a few minutes to find out what you’re eligible for.

Call 1-800-MyVA411 and press “0” to connect to a live agent that will assist you with your enrollment, benefits, and claims, or visit www.va.com/my-va

How to get your Veteran ID card:

The free Veteran ID Card is a digital photo ID you can use for veteran discounts at stores, restaurants, and hotels. It’s available if you received an honorable or general discharge.

  1. Get your DD214. Don’t have a copy? Request your records from the National Archives.
  2. Gather your documents. You’ll need your Social Security number, a scan of your DD214, a valid driver’s license or passport, and a recent color photo of yourself from the shoulders up.
  3. Apply online at VA.gov.
  4. Watch your email. Once you’re approved, the VA emails your digital card.
