Chaplain Carl Phillips

Chaplain Carl Phillips

We welcome Army Chaplain Carl Phillips (wife, Deanna) to our ranks this month! Major Phillips comes as a transfer of endorsement from the Ashland Brethren group. He is a member and elder of Brighton Chapel Grace Brethren Church in Howe, Ind. We appreciate Endorsing Agent John Schumacher for helping Carl and Deanna with their desire to be a part of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.

Carl’s impressive service record includes tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is currently on a two-year deployment, with family, in Korea, assigned to an intelligence unit in Seoul and is one of the pastors at the South Post Chapel in Yong San, which happens to be the chapel where John Schumacher served in 1978-1980!  Carl and Deanna have three children, all of whom are adopted. Welcome aboard, Carl and Deanna, and thank you for your service for God and Country!
