Two Grace Brethren military chaplains have selected for promotion and continued service, according to news received from Mark Penfold, chaplain endorsing agent for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.

Chaplains Pete Stone and John Jacobsen have been board selected for promotion to Major. Both Pete and John entered active duty at the same time and served in their first unit and first deployment together with the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood.  Pete, his wife Monica and young son John Sebastian are on assignment this summer to Fort Belvoir, VA.  John and his wife Marlene are currently serving at Fort Riley, KS.  We celebrate God’s leading in their lives as they will move on to positions of increased responsibility and covet your prayers for them as they share the Gospel in our military.”
