Eagle Commission Newsletter Provides Updates on Chaplains

Nov 14, 2017 | Eagle Commission, National Organizations, News

The next edition of the Eagle Commission newsletter, providing a snapshot of activities by Charis Fellowship military chaplains, has been mailed. Here are a few highlights:

Cameron Michael

Army Chaplain Cameron Michael, based at Fort Bragg, completed Airborne School at Fort Benning and earned his “Jump” wings. We praise God for helping Cameron land safely and without injury. This is a significant accomplishment for him as he ministers in an “airborne” unit.

Justin Hayes, left, at Grace College and Seminary’s Conference on Mission

Navy Chaplain Justin Hayes and Charis Fellowship Endorsing Agent, Mark Penfold, were able to represent our chaplains and the Eagle Commission at Grace College and Seminary’s 2017 Conference on Mission. We BOTH had a great time (special thanks to Dr. Bill Katip) and made some good contacts. Two students expressed strong interest in the Chaplain Candidate programs (one Army, one Navy).

Chaplain Smith and his family

Air Force Chaplain Phil Smith will deploy to Turkey shortly after Thanksgiving. Pray for his safety and effectiveness in ministry there. We ask you also to remember Penny and the boys during the long months of separation.
