Today’s newsletter from the Eagle Commission bears exciting news. For the first time, the Charis Fellowship is represented in the Canadian Armed Forces. See the announcement below from Mark Penfold, DMin., Chaplain (Colonel) U.S. Army, retired, Endorsing Agent, Charis Fellowship/FGBC.
I am excited to welcome to our Eagle Commission team, Canadian Army Chaplain Oliver Edwards and his family. Endorsed by our Canadian Charis Fellowship leadership, Oliver entered active duty as a chaplain with the Canadian Armed Forces. Oliver is our Fellowship’s first chaplain with the Canadian military. He is currently serving at a Canadian Air Base in the province of Alberta.
Together we rejoice that the Lord has opened this door for our Fellowship’s presence with our military ally Canada. We encourage you to add Oliver, his wife, Cheryl, and their children to your prayer list and to follow their ministry as we send out updates in the months ahead.
Join me in welcoming Team Edwards to the Eagle Commission. May the Lord give you strength, wisdom and much fruit in your ministry!
Chaplain Edwards previously served in Charis Fellowship churches in Canada. To read the complete Eagle Commission newsletter, click here.
